"Palestra Prenda-me se for Capaz" - Lecture "Catch me if you Can"

No decorrer de uma pesquisa para um projeto de cinema aqui nos Estados Unidos a minha equipe encontrou esta palestra de Frank Abagnale Jr. Muito provavelmente o nome não fala muito, mas este é a pessoa que viveu a história do filme "Catch me if you Can" dirigido por Steven Spielberg com Leonardo di Caprio e Tom Hank.

A palestra é muito interessante, divertida e com muito conteudo. Infelizmente, não foi possível legendá-la, mas aconselho que assistam com um interprete se necessário.

[English] During a research for a film project here in the U.S. my team found the lecture of Frank Abagnale Jr. Probably you don't recognize the name, but he's the fellow that lived the story portrayed on Catch me if you Can, directed by Steven Spielberg with Leonardo di Caprio and Tom Hanks.

The lecture is quite interesting, funny and remarkable. Unfortunately was not possible to include Portuguese subtitles, but I advise to watch with a translator if needed.

Cartas do Magro/Stan's Letters

Não existe quem não conheça o "Gordo e o Magro" presente na infância de todos nós.

Pesquisando na internet encontrei o site Cartas do Magro. Fiquei fascinado em saber que ele não era apenas uma pessoa muito inteligente e o redator da dupla, mas pelo carinho que ele tinha por todos os fãs. Escreveu centenas e centenas de cartas para todos que escreviam para ele, sem exceção. É interessante observar que isto ocorreu em uma época que não existia e-mail, apenas máquinas de escrever e nem sequer corretivo (lembra? aquele papel que colocava na máquina para apagar o erro tipográfico).

Fico pensando no tratamento que determinados(as) dito "celebridade" tem pelos fãs hoje em dia.

É muito interessante o que ele escreveu na sua lápide "Se você chorar eu nunca mais falo com você." Sensacional!

Este projeto tem por finalidade encontrar e catalogar todas as cartas. Se alguém tiver uma no Brasil. Enviem e me avisem.

[English] Who doesn't know Laurel and Hardy presence of everyones childhood.

Brownsing the web I found the site Letters of Stan. I'm fascinated to know besides what I knew before that he was extremely intelligent and the writing force behind the duo, but also that he cared so much for his fans all over. He wrote hundreds and hundreds of letters to everyone who would write to him, no exceptions. It's quite interesting to note that this happened in a time that no e-mail was available, only typewriting machines without correcting features such the long gone little papers to correct any typing mistakes. Remember?

It makes me wonder how some called "celebrities" treat their fans today...

It's funny what he wrote on his tombstone "If you cry I'll never talk to you again." Sensational!

This project has as purpose to found and register all letters sent by Stan. If you have any in Brazil. Please send it and let me know.

Havia esquecido de colocar no meu blog que no final do ano passado tive a oportunidade de conhecer o Presidente Bill Clinton.

Sem dúvida trata-se de uma pessoa com um carisma e uma simpatia fora do comum.

Horton e O Aprendiz 4 - Horton and The Apprentice 4

Pessoal! "pequenos e grandes":

estamos aqui nos EUA na semana do lançamento do filme Horton Hears a Who que é do estúdio Blue Sky dos filmes Ice Age e aonde o meu amigo Carlos Saldanha trabalha e dirige estes filmes de animação que nós tanto adoramos.

Acho interessante lembrar que a equipe Ello visitou o estúdio quando eles estavam ainda trabalhando no projeto do Horton em segredo. Todos nos adoramos.

Fica aqui a minha sugestão para assistirem no Brasil, pois eu vou assistir aqui. Fica aqui também o meu abraço ao Carlos Saldanha e o seu time que tão gentilmente aceitou o meu pedido para que O Aprendiz 4 visita-se a Blue Sky. Super-obrigado Carlos!

We're here at the premiere in the US of the film Horton Hears a Who from Blue Sky Studios, the same creators of the Ice Age and where my friend Carlos Saldanha works directing all these animation films we all love so much. We loved the experience visiting the behind the scenes of this top secret production.

It's important to remind you all that the team Ello (from the Brazilian The Apprentice 4) visited the Blue Sky. I leave here my greetings and thanks to Carlos and all his team who so warmly welcomed all the contestants and crew to Blue Sky Headquarters in New York. Again Thank you Carlos!
